BRUCE ERWIN HOPKINS June 18, 1959 ~ June 3, 2004 Died suddenly on Wednesday, June 3, 2004 in Oakland, CA. An Oakland native, Bruce was born to Edward (deceased) and Josephine Hopkins. His early childhood years were spent in Berkeley, CA until the family moved to Oakland. A graduate of Oakland High School, Bruce earned an A.A. degree from Oakland's Laney College and became a licensed Cosmetologist. Operating a hair salon in San Leandro, CA in the early 1980's, Cuts Plus. Bruce enjoyed travel, singing and playing his guitar and motorcycle riding.

Bruce is survived by his beloved mother, Josephine Hopkins of Oakland; three brothers, Mark Hopkins, Paul Hopkins and Shayron Hopkins; four sisters, Patricia Hopkins, Jolynn Hopkins, Madelene Campbell, Menique Madison; two brothers-in-law, Michael Campbell, William Madison; two sisters-in-law, Jackie Hopkins and Dena Hopkins; nephews, Julius White III, Jason White, Douglas Hopkins, Adam White, Gregory Hopkins, Nathan White, Michael Campbell Jr., Matthew Madison, James Madison; nephew-in-law, Ian Bavey; three great nephews, Jason White, Jaleel White and Evan Bavey; nieces, Lisa Bavey, Rebecca White, Jennifer White, Abigail White; one niece-in-law, Rolanda White; one great niece, India White and a host of relatives and longtime friends. Memorial service will be held June 8, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Pacific Interment Services Inc., 1094 Yerba Buena Ave., Emeryville, CA 94609. Friends welcome.
