I am saddened to have to inform you that our classmate, Laverne Jenkins, (Eva-Laverne Jenkins-Brooks) passed away this past Thursday evening. Laverne attended McChesney Jr. High (Edna Brewer Middle School) from 1965-1968 and Oakland High from 1968-1971. Please keep her family in your prayers.
