Raymond Leavitt

Raymond Leavitt Raymond Leavitt
Jan. 7, 1944 ~ Jul. 10, 2015
Resident of Walnut Creek

Ray passed away peacefully on July 10 at his Walnut Creek home from a respiratory and heart ailment. He leaves his loving family, brother Richard Leavitt and sister-in-law Camille of Fox Island, WA, sister Susan Leavitt Andrade of Lafayette and nieces, Allison, Melissa and Elizabeth.

He was a proud Oakland native and an avid armchair supporter of the SF Giants, the Warriors and the WWE. His career in sales spanned many years as a manufactures rep to a security sales business rep.

Raymond LeavittRay had the gift of gab, a quick wit and always the comedian. He volunteered for many years at John Muir hospital meeting with heart patients, hopefully lifting their spirits before heart surgery. He was a member of two gyms, (mostly to socialize) where he made lifelong friends. He enjoyed his many good friends and his cats. He was one of the good guys.

He would have appreciated a donation to Tony La Russa's ARF arflife.org

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
