Diane Lenore Gorsuch

Diane Lenore Gorsuch was born in Oakland, California on September 11th, 1942. The first born and oldest daughter of Dwaine and Muriel Nelson (both deceased), big sister to Phillip, Margaret, and Paul. She grew up in Oakland and attended Oakland High School where she graduated in 1960. After high school Diane completed a 3-year nursing program at Highland Hospital and went to work as a pediatric and surgical nurse in the Bay Area. Later Diane joined the staff of the Navigators, a worldwide Christian organization, and served in the U.S. and Australia. In June of 1976 Diane married the love of her life, Navigators' staff member Geoffrey Scott Gorsuch, and bore him two beautiful daughters, Nicole and Julianne. Diane and Geoff dedicated their lives together serving in the ministry. Their time included 12 years in France, 17 years in the U.S., and, most recently, 10 years in Singapore. Finally, at 9:45am on Sunday morning, June 21st, 2015, surrounded at home by her husband, sister, and loved ones, Diane graduated from her battle with cancer and went home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Diane is survived by her husband Geoff, daughters Nicole Gillin and Julianne Witham, son-in-laws Jon Gillin and Ben Witham and 6 grandchildren: Connor, Dominick and Barrett (Gillin) and Bazil, Madilynn, and Juniper Witham (the latter born on June 17th, 2015), sister Margaret Twombley, brothers Phillip and Paul Nelson, all of Redding, and their families.
