Born and raised in Oakland, CA. He was an Antioch police officer in the 1970s and early 80s. Retired from the Olympic Club in San Francisco in the 1990s where he worked as a maintenance engineer. Joe will be remembered for his kindness and humor, his hands-on ability and a passion for '57 Chevys. He will be missed. Joe is survived by his three children, Monica Behrens, Christina McNamar and Larry Valerio and grandchildren. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Most Holy Rosary Church at 10 a.m., 1313 A Street, Antioch.
