She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a wife, and a friend to many. Born in Binghamton, NY to Henry and Mae Shiff. She moved to Oakland, CA her senior year and attended Oakland High School.

She is survived by her husband, Marijan Pooshs, her daughters Melanie Mintz and Jennifer (Mintz) Kline, her son Michael Mintz, her 3 stepsons and her 6 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son James Mintz.

She was recently an active member of the Alameda Renter's Coalition and the Alameda Democratic Club as well as the the Commission of Aging. She loved to laugh and will be remembered for her generous smile.
