Nancy Ann Wilhelm Nancy Ann Wilhelm-Behrbaum
(September 6, 1940 - September 17, 2016)

Mrs. Nancy Ann Wilhelm-Behrbaum, age 76 of Ball Ground, passed away Monday September 17, 2016 at her residence.

Nancy was born on September 6, 1940 to her two cherished parents, Ruth and Rusty (Robert) Wilhelm in Norwalk, Ohio. In 1944, Nancy moved to California where the three of them settled in Oakland, CA. She attended parochial schools, later transferring to Oakland High, a public school, where she ultimately finished her high school years. She would later reminisce in having the "time of her life". This statement would be repeated throughout her life. When she became a mother, a grandmother, and her ultimate gift in becoming a great-grandmother aka GG she truly experienced the "time of her life."

Nancy raised three daughters with care and affection. She was the kind of mother who was interested in teaching her daughters to experience life. She wanted to instill power, strength, and independence in her girls. At times she would joke to her girls that they were being raised by a Helen Reddy (I am woman) type of mom.

Nancy eventually moved to Georgia leaving California forever. She married the love of her life and settled in quickly to the Southern life style.

Nancy's beauty and charm, allowed her to sail across with ease through family difficulties. Her home was always welcoming and charming, making those who visited feel warm at heart. Nancy lived until her last days, surrounded by her family, her valued friends, and collected treasures.

A warm and grateful thank you to those who supported and cared for our mother in her final days. Vickie, Debra, Helen, Monica, Jenifer, Mandy, Becky, and Amanda to name a few. Thank you for everything.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents: Ruth and Rusty Wilhelm, and her husband Jim Behrbaum. She is survived by her three daughters, Wendy Behrbaum, Lori Noriega and Amy Behrbaum; grandchildren: Emily Rose Zaballos-Haynes, Michael David Metildi, and Matthew Raymond Metildi; and great-grandchildren: Emma Rose Haynes, Ella Reese Haynes, and Eliza Reagan Haynes.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Georgia Mountains Hospice.

Cagle Funeral Home is honored to serve the Behrbaum family.
