Cosma, Susan Alice, Age 73, was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, Ocober 15, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones. She fought a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer alongside her husband of 55 years. Susan was born on April 26, 1940, in Riverside, California. Susan was preceeded in death by her parents Frank Nightingale and Alice Saunders Burden, her sister Sharon Nightingale-Johnson [OHS 1957] and nephew Paul Watson.

Susan is survived by her husband of 55 years Earl J. Cosma; son Brian Cosma of Sugar Land, Texas; daughter, Melissa Sisneros-Baca of Rio Rancho,NM her sisters, Pat Howard of Denver,CO, Pam Brooks of Eugene,OR, Cecelia Lisa Mendoza of Los Alamos,CA; her brother, Chip Burden of Lahaina,HI. Susan is also survived by five grandchildren, Michael Gonzales, Jesse Cosma, Kashia Baca, Dyani Baca and Jordon Cosma, as well as seven nieces and nephews.

Susan graduated from Oakland High School in 1958. She was devoted to Stonecroft Christian Ministry, where she led Bible classes and prayer circles. She was loved and will always be remembered as a faithful prayer warrior. She enjoyed golfing and tending her Southwest-style garden, which included two beautiful hollyhocks displays. Susan and Earl also enjoyed their many travels.

Susan's celebration of life is scheduled for November 9, 2013, at Santa Ana Golf Course, in the Prairie Star banquet room at 1 pm.
