Her life was strongly affected by a tragic accident she sustained when she was 11 years old, but
despite the effect the injuries had on her physically and emotionally, during the following seven years
of her life, she remained a very soft spoken, caring, and kind person. One of the highlights of her short
life was to be able to attend her senior prom with a wonderful friend of the Frandsen family, Howard
Levenson, who previously graduated from Oakland High School.
Dona's funeral service was held at the Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, and she was interred at
Mountain View Cemetery.
It is with great sadness that at the time of this 2015 submission to the Oakland High School
Memorial, the many nieces, nephews, and cousins who survived Dona were never able to meet her. They would have loved her compassion and gentle spirit.
May you continue to rest in peace. You are sorely missed.
