Art was born in Oakland, CA to Clarence and Xenia Robinson. He graduated from Oakland High in 1957 and went on to attend Oakland City College/Laney Trade School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and then went on to become a parts clerk at Lee Auto Supply. In 1967 Art met and married Amrita Susan Robinson and they were married for 48 years. He joined Western Pacific Railroad in 1968 and after holding many job titles, retired in 2000 as a Supervisor for Union Pacific. In his free time, Art enjoyed watching auto racing.

Art is survived by his wife Susan [OHS 1954], his son Steven (Cheri), two grandchildren Samantha and Shawn and his brother Arnold Robinson. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Higgins Chapel in Antioch with a reception following.
