Daryl Jeanne Maguire Jeanne Duval, 74, passed away on May 15, 2014 peacefully in her childhood home, surrounded by family, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Jeanne was born in San Francisco, California on May 24, 1939. She graduated from Oakland High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Education from San Jose State University.

Shortly after graduating, Jeanne was hired as a stewardess for Pan American Airlines--a job that she loved and shaped the rest of her life. She was stationed in NYC and travelled internationally.

She later married and raised her two children in the San Francisco Bay Area. During this time, she earned a nursing credential and worked in various medical clinics, and later as a market researcher in the Biotechnology field.

After her children were grown, she met and married Bill Duval, and moved to the unspoiled beauty of Siskiyou County. Jeanne and Bill built a home and ran an appraisal business in Ft. Jones, CA. They shared 20 wonderful years meeting and working with the residents of the county.

Jeanne had a natural warmth and contagious enthusiasm for life. She loved meeting new people and had a gift for making people feel comfortable and at ease. She enjoyed reading, gardening, camping, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, Bill Duval of Ft. Jones, CA; her son Scott Biddinger, of Redondo Beach, CA; daughter, Lynne Biddinger and her husband Mark Wright of Atascadero, CA., and the rest of her family and friends.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Estelle Maguire; as well as her brother, Richard Maguire [OHS 1960].

The family wishes to thank the loving care Jeanne received in her final years in Sydney Creek as well as Pathways Hospice.
