John R. Iles of Walnut Creek passed September 8, just two weeks after his 80th birthday. John was born August 24, 1938 in Seattle, Wa. He graduated from Oakland High School in Oakland, Ca, then entered the Air Force. After completing his service John got his bachelor's degree at SF State University, then completed the Master's in Taxation Program at Golden Gate University. John worked as a CPA and partner at Wallace, Meyer, Morrow & Smith in Oakland, CA for 27 years prior to retiring in 1997.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Iles; children Elizabeth Iles Simmons and husband Lloyd Simmons, John M. Iles and wife Kristin Iles, Jennifer Iles Visco and grandchildren Jack Iles, Cole Iles, James Visco and Jillian Visco. He will be missed. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks that donations go to the John Muir Health Foundation in support of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program (www.givehealthjmh.org).
