Thomas Edward Montali was born on November 11, 1934, in Oakland, California. He was the oldest child of three children, to Ralph and Elenor Montali. He entered into his eternal rest this past July 26th, 2013.

Thomas is survived by his beautiful Wife and soul mate of over 50 years, Patricia Ann. Thomas has 5 five children, Melinda, Thomas, Mary Ellen, Laura, and Brian. He is survived by his seven grandchildren: Jeff, Tommy, Paul, Kate, Blake, Chase, Mica, and James and one great grandchild, Regan. In addition to his children and grandchildren, he is survived by his younger brother and sister, Dennis Montali of Berkeley, California and Suzanne Brennan of Clayton, California.

Thomas graduated from Oakland High School in 1952 and the College of Marin in 1955. Thomas met and married the absolute love of his life, Patricia Ann.

He spent most of his career as a successful sales executive in the beverage and spirits industry. He worked throughout the Western United States for International Companies: "Suntory, Paterno and "Seagrams". Thomas also worked with his Father, Ralph, at The Montali Winery. Through his tireless efforts, he was able to create a market share for Montali wines in a very competitive California wine market. Upon retirement, Thomas stayed active by volunteering his time, sometimes concurrently, to numerous causes. He was an attendant at the Western Railway in Fillmore, California. Thomas spent a great number of years as a docent at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum which was probably his favorite retirement job. Amazingly, he found time to be the President of the Saint Vincent De Paul Food Bank which distributed food to the needy. Thomas also taught an elderly driving safety course sponsored by AARP and also served on the Community Advisory Board at the Ventura County Star.

Thomas had a huge heart and a fun-loving nature. He was exceptionally loving and tirelessly devoted to his large, extended family and his endless list of friends. Thomas always looked for opportunities to turn a stranger into a friend. He will be greatly missed. He will never be forgotten in our hearts. We love you always.
