Myron was born in Oakland, CA to Rudolph and Agnes Hansen. He graduated from UC Berkeley, served in the Navy as a Lt Commander and and was master of Fruitvale Masonic Lodge in 1966. He was employed by the Agriculture Dept of Alameda County for 30 years. Myron had a wonderful sense of humor, loved playing sports and enjoyed coaching and working with young people. He was a great do-it your selfer.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Hansen, sister, Claire Nelson, daughters, Karen Vetterli, Audrey Gillette (Bryan), Holly Bailey (Scott) son, Steven Hansen (Sabrina), 10 grandchildren, Jeffrey Katrina Brown, Andrea Votto Bonnie Vetterli, Lance Dawn Bailey, Colin Decker Gillette, Marlena Lia Hansen 1 great granddhild, Justin Carey. He was predeceased by his daughter Christine Brown.

The Memorial Service will be at Holy Sheperd Lutheran Church, 433 Moraga Way, Orinda, CA on Sat., Nov. 17 at 11AM. Donations may be made to either Bridge of Opportunity (http://www.bridgeofopportunity.org/) or Hospice of the East Bay.
