Marilyn passed away peacefully with her husband at her side on May 14, 2011. Born in Turlock, Calif., Marilyn leaves behind her husband of 60 years Archie; sons Stephen(Cheryl) and Kevin, as well as two grandchildren Kelsie and Sean; Nieces Gae Mork of Martinez and Vicki Gallagher of Benicia.
From age 14 she was raised in Oakland by her Aunt and Uncle Victor and Verlie Kaufmann. She graduated from Oakland High School and Armstrong Business School in Berkeley.
She and her husband Archie owned and operated McFaul's Gift Center, one of Pittsburg's oldest businesses established in 1907 by the father and grandfather of her husband.
Marilyn was a Rainbow Girl and a long time member of Soroptimist International of Pittsburg. She was an avid Giants and Forty-Niner fan. Marilyn will be remembered for her generosity and love of family. She'll be missed by all.
Memorial services will be private. A gathering for friends and relatives to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00pm Saturday May 21, at the Pittsburg Elks Lodge, 200 Marina Blvd.
