Marie Ann Cammisa

Marie passed away peacefully at Bethany Home in Concord from a long time illness. Marie Pursiano was born in Oakland to Thomas and Ida Pursiano and grew up in the Bay Area with her siblings, Tom and Lucille Pursiano. She attended Holy Names Parochial School, Oakland High School and UC Berkeley and worked in the Medical Field as an Accountant for 25 years.

Marie met Melchiade (Mel) Cammisa through a mutual friend in 1946 and they had two sons, Chris and Lary Cammisa.

Marie always enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, but not as much as she loved her family.

She is survived by her son, Lary Cammisa; grandchildren, Jason Cammisa, Brittany Cammisa and Meredith Schaff; and brother, Tom Pursiano.
