Born 6/27/24 Lorraine Jones Andrews, died Oakland, CA June 22, 2016 at the age of 91 Lorraine was born in Santa Maria, CA on 6/27/24 the second of three children of the late Roscoe V. Jones and Leona Shorb Jones. Roscoe was from a pioneer family who founded the town of Santa Maria, CA. Lorraine graduated from Oakland HS and SJSU with a masters in Physical Education. Married to Peter Lewis Andrews for 23 years and they had three children. Physical Education teacher at Brewer JHS for 30 years in Oakland retiring in 1986.

Lorraine had a wide variety of interests. She was a member of ADK, PEO Intl, Ebell society, Montclair WC, DAR, Mayflower Assoc., California Genealogy Assoc. After retirement, she became very involved in the family Genealogy tracing all lines back to the 1600 and 1700s in this country. She served on the board of East Bay Retired teachers for 25 years.

Lorraine is survived by daughter Cynthia Andrews of Danville, son Peter of Oakland, son Rick Andrews of Danville, granddaughter Kristin Kane of Elk Grove, brother Cal Jones of Walnut Creek, and sister Enid Westcott of Hollister Ca. along with a number of nieces and nephews.
