Ruth Grady Cuddyre

Ruth was born in Oakland in 1924 to the loving parents of Edward and Nancy Grady. Ruth attended Jefferson School, St Anthony, St Jarlaths, Allendale, Hamilton, and Oakland High. Ruth graduated from Holy Names College with majors in English and Education. She taught elementary school for 31 years. Five years at Redwood Heights and 26 years at Grass Valley. Ruth's life was a trilogy of, God, her family and teaching. She was devoted to each of these pursuits with gusto and perfection.
Ruth leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Peter Cuddyre, her son Tab and his wife Chrystal, her grandson Ryan and granddaughter Alexis. Ruth was blessed with sisters Kathryn Clark, Murial Sorg, and Shirley Bennett.
Ruth had one brother, Edward Grady. Ruth had nieces Amy Monroe, Nancy Correia, and Joan Pinal. Ruth had nephews, Billy Barbaria, Tim Grady, Robert Clark and Mike Sorg. Ruth was a talented seamstress and created cloth miracles with her "peddle power" Singer sewing machine. Ruth's cloths were as beautiful as their creator.
Visitation begins Monday 03/26/2012 Noon to 8:30 P.M. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. At Santos-Robinson Mortuary 160 Estudillo Ave. San Leandro. The Funeral Liturgy celebrating her life will be on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paschal Baylon Church 3700 Dorisa Ave. Oakland. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward.
