Rollin Lincoln Wilson
Sept. 2, 1922 - Nov. 1, 2009

Born in Berkeley, California, he grew up in Oakland. He is survived by his wife, Katharine, his brother Warren of Fremont, his nephew Louis D. Wilson and wife Rita of Napa, nieces Robyn and Lynn, and great-nephews Louis II, Benjamin, and Joseph.

Mr. Wilson served in the U.S. Army, 42nd Infantry Division, in military intelligence during World War II and received a commendation from his general at the end of the war in Germany. During the Korean War he served in Headquarters A.A.C.S., in the office of the Inspector General in Washington, D.C. He attended the University of California in Berkeley and received an A.B. in art and a B.L.S. in Library Science. He later received an M.A. in Fine Arts from Harvard.

After marrying Katharine Wadsworth in New York City, the couple lived in Berkeley, then moved to San Jose, where Mr. Wilson earned a teaching credential at San Jose State University. He taught for 19 years, first at Farnham School in the Cambrian District, then at Argonaut School in Saratoga Unified School District. After five years of early retirement tasks, he worked for over 15 years in the electronics industry, first at Calma GE as a tech writer, and later at Future Electronics as an administrative assistant.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1957 Pruneridge Ave., Santa Clara, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11th. Instead of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Santa Clara; City Team Ministries, San Jose; and The Trust for Hidden Villa, Los Altos.
