Eileen Sims Eileen Baker

Feb. 25, 1922 - Dec. 28, 2008

Resident of Walnut Creek Eileen Baker was a lifelong resident of the Bay Area. She was born in Oakland, and graduated from Oakland High. During WWII, she met and married the man of her dreams Clarence Baker. They had a wonderful marriage that lasted over 63 years. They lived in Orinda for over 50 years, where they raised their four children. The last few years they resided in Walnut Creek.

She is preceded in death by her son Rev. James Baker. She is survived by her loving husband Clarence Baker, her daughters Barbara Wolf (son-in-law Stephen Wolf), Patricia Heusler and Nancy Menne, her grandchildren Amy (Wolf) Kaufman, Benjamin and Daniel Wolf, Michael and David Heusler, Jessica, Amanda and Veronica Menne, and great grandchildren Dina and Mira Kaufman, and Eden Wolf.

The joy of her life was raising her family. She was a devoted wife and mother. She had a lifelong love of tap dancing. She also loved to camp and spent many years traveling and camping all over the U.S. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Funeral services will be Fri., Jan. 2nd at 11 a.m. at Oak Park Hills Chapel, 3111 N. Main, Walnut Creek. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to International House, Architectural Heritage Fund, 2299 Piedmont Ave., Berkeley, CA 94270. Oak Park Hills Chapel (925) 934-6500
