Robert Ortman

Robert Leslie Ortman passed away on April 13, 2016 at the age of 94. Born in Oakland to William and Anna Ortman. Bob graduated from Oakland High School. He joined the Navy during WWll where he served as a cook aboard ship. Attended Laney College and became a sheet metal worker affiliated with Local 104. He was married to Francis until her death in 1998.

He will be dearly missed by his nephews William T Ortman, Ronald Ortman and niece Carole Novitske along with his longtime friends, Joe D'Assis and his daughter Trish Grave and family. A kind and gentle soul who brought much happiness to those near. May he rest in peace.
