Evelyn Augusta Olund Lenehan, born Sept. 3, 1922 in Oakland, Calif. to Ernest and Signe Olund, died March 16,2009. The graveside service was held March 21 at Rose Memorial Park, Fort Bragg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ellis Lenehan, an Alameda native, retired from the City of Alameda Fire Department.

Her sister, Dorothy Gammelgard, her children, Linda Standley, Barbara Nieminen and Shirley Collenette, survive her. She was grandmother to Jeffery, Lisa, Paul, Lauren, Natalie and Rex; great grandmother to Sydney, Shannon, Lydia, Sonia, Lily and Liam; mother-in-law to John, Jean-Marc and Alan.

Evelyn resided in Alameda, Calif. for over 30 years and Fort Bragg for 30. She was an accountant for the Pacific Telephone Co. and for PG&E in San Francisco. She earned her degree in nutrition and worked for the Alameda Unified School District as manager of the school lunch program.

Evelyn was described by all who knew her as a "saint."
