"Those who knew him need not be reminded of his character
and love of family and friends.
Those who did not know him will not be interested - so be it.
What I leave behind is not engraved in words,
but what is woven into the lives of others."

This favorite epitaph was found on a marker in an old family cemetery, while Mac and his wife Barbara were hiking in New Hampshire.

A celebration of Mac's life will take place in the new year.
